The provided diagrams illustrate the number of degrees awarded in various disciplines at the National University over a period of three decades, starting from 1990.
In general, it is noticeable that the number of degrees granted in all fields witnessed a significant rise over the period. However, the rate of increase varied across different disciplines.
In 1990, the number of degrees in Medicine was the highest, followed by Engineering and Arts. However, by 2000, Engineering had surpassed Medicine to become the most popular field. The trend continued in 2010, with Engineering degrees reaching an all-time high. Meanwhile, the number of degrees in Medicine and Arts also increased, but at a slower pace.
On the other hand, degrees in Science and Business saw a steady increase over the three decades. The number of Science degrees doubled from 1990 to 2000 and then almost tripled by 2010. Similarly, Business degrees also saw a steady rise, with the number in 2010 being nearly four times that in 1990.
