The table delineates the quantity of beverages sold by a café located in an office edifice on an average working day.
A broad analysis of the data reveals that the coffee shop experienced two distinct sales peaks during the day, with hot drinks being more popular than cold ones. It also becomes apparent that coffee was the most sought-after drink throughout the day.
In the morning, from 7-8:30 am, coffee was the highest selling item with 320 cups sold, followed by tea at 190 cups. Other hot drinks sold in moderate quantities, while cold drinks recorded the lowest sales, with only 20 cups of juice and 30 cups of other cold drinks sold. This trend indicates the preference for hot drinks in the early hours.
The afternoon period, from 12:30-2 pm, saw a slight dip in coffee sales to 230 cups, but it still remained the most popular choice. Tea sales also reduced to 140 cups. Interestingly, the sales of juice and other cold drinks increased significantly to 150 and 100 cups respectively, suggesting a shift in preference towards cold beverages in the afternoon.
