The line graph illustrates the quantity of books that were read by both genders at Burnaby Public Library over a period of four years, from 2011 to 2014.
In general, it can be seen that women consistently read more books than men during the given period. Also, there was a noticeable fluctuation in the number of books read by both men and women over the four years.
In 2011, approximately 5000 books were read by women, which was about 2000 more than the number of books read by men. This gap widened in 2012 with women reading around 8000 books compared to men who read just below 6000. However, in 2013, there was a significant drop in the number of books read by women to just over 4000, while men read slightly less than 4000.
In the final year, 2014, the number of books read by women surged to its peak at around 9000, whereas the number of books read by men also increased but remained significantly lower at approximately 6000. Therefore, throughout the period, women consistently read more books than men at Burnaby Public Library.
