The bar chart provided elucidates the difficulties encountered by individuals when they relocate to foreign nations.
At a glance, it is apparent that the most significant challenges faced by expatriates are language barriers and finding schools for their children, while the least problematic areas are related to food and climate. It is also noticeable that the severity of these issues varies between individuals who have moved for work and those who have moved for other reasons.
In terms of language barriers, around 40% of people who moved for work-related reasons found this to be a challenge, compared to just over 20% of those who moved for other reasons. Similarly, finding schools for children was a problem for approximately one third of work-related migrants, but only for about 10% of other migrants.
On the other hand, adapting to the local cuisine and weather conditions posed less of a problem for both groups. Only around 10% of work-related migrants and slightly less than 5% of other migrants reported difficulties with the food, while the figures for climate adaptation were approximately 15% and 5% respectively.
