The given diagrams illustrate the variations in the genres of music albums bought by different age groups and genders in Britain.
At a glance, it is evident that pop music was the most preferred genre among all age groups and both sexes, while classical music was the least preferred. The purchasing patterns also differed significantly between age groups and genders.
In terms of age groups, the 16-24 age group had the highest percentage of pop music album purchases, while the 45-54 age group had the lowest. Interestingly, the 45-54 age group had the highest percentage of classical music album purchases. The 25-34 and 35-44 age groups showed similar purchasing patterns, with pop music being the most popular and classical music the least popular.
With regard to gender, more females purchased pop music albums than males. However, males purchased more rock and classical music albums than females. The difference was most pronounced in the rock music category, where males accounted for nearly twice as many purchases as females.
