Opening

I am writing to express my deep concerns about the proposed expansion of our local airport, as a resident living in close proximity to the airport.

Bullet 1

explain where you live

I reside in a peaceful neighborhood just a stone's throw away from the airport, where I have enjoyed the tranquility and serenity of the surroundings for many years. The proposed plan to make the airport bigger and increase the number of flights threatens to disrupt this peace and quiet that we have cherished for so long. The noise pollution from additional flights would undoubtedly disturb the peaceful ambiance of our community, leading to a decrease in our quality of life.

Bullet 2

describe the problem

The expansion of the airport not only poses a threat to the tranquility of our neighborhood but also raises environmental concerns. With more flights operating, there will be a significant increase in air pollution, which could have detrimental effects on the health of residents in the area. Furthermore, the expansion could lead to deforestation and destruction of natural habitats to accommodate the larger airport infrastructure, impacting the local ecosystem.

Bullet 3

give reasons why you do not want this development

I strongly oppose this development as it prioritizes economic interests over the well-being of the local residents and the environment. The short-term benefits of increased tourism and business opportunities do not outweigh the long-term negative consequences that the airport expansion would bring. Instead of focusing on expanding the airport, efforts should be directed towards sustainable solutions that minimize the environmental impact and prioritize the health and happiness of the community.

Closing

In conclusion, I urge the authorities to reconsider the plan for airport expansion and prioritize the well-being of the residents and the environment. Our peaceful neighborhood should not be sacrificed for the sake of economic growth and convenience. It is crucial to preserve the harmony and beauty of our community for future generations to enjoy.
