The bar chart provides information about the number of British people who migrated to five different countries over the period from 2004 to 2007.
From a general perspective, it is clear that throughout the period, Australia was the most popular destination for British emigrants, while the numbers for the United Arab Emirates were the lowest. There was also a noticeable increase in emigration to most countries over the four years, with the exception of New Zealand.
Looking at the details, in 2004, approximately 40,000 Britons moved to Australia, which increased to over 50,000 by 2007. Spain also saw a significant rise in British emigrants, from around 30,000 in 2004 to just under 40,000 in 2007.
In contrast, the number of people emigrating to New Zealand remained relatively stable, with a slight dip in 2007. The United Arab Emirates and France saw modest increases in British emigrants, but their numbers were significantly less than those for Australia and Spain. By 2007, the number of British emigrants to the United Arab Emirates had reached just over 10,000, while France had attracted around 20,000 British emigrants.
