The pie chart illustrates the reasons behind substandard educational results in a certain nation's schools in 2011.
It is evident from the chart that the majority of the issues stem from two main causes, namely lack of parental involvement and inadequate teaching methods. However, other factors also contribute to a lesser extent to the poor learning outcomes.
Looking more closely, lack of parental involvement accounts for a significant 35% of the reasons for poor learning outcomes. This is closely followed by inadequate teaching methods, which make up 30% of the causes. These two reasons combined contribute to almost two-thirds of the total reasons for substandard academic performance.
The remaining causes, which include insufficient school funding, outdated curriculum, and lack of student motivation, account for 35% of the causes. Insufficient school funding and outdated curriculum each represent 15% of the reasons, while lack of student motivation is the least significant cause, contributing only 5% to the poor learning outcomes.
