The line graph presents the recycling rates of domestic waste in three distinct nations over a ten-year period from 2005 to 2015.
Overall, it is clear that the recycling rates of all three countries increased over the period. However, while the rates in Ireland and Germany followed a similar upward trend, the rate in Korea fluctuated before ending at a higher point.
In 2005, the recycling rate in Ireland was the lowest at around 5%, but it saw a steady growth, reaching just over 30% by 2015. Similarly, Germany started at approximately 20% and experienced a consistent increase to about 50% by the end of the period.
On the other hand, Korea had a recycling rate of around 25% in 2005, which rose sharply to nearly 50% in 2007, before falling back to around 30% in 2009. Despite a slight dip to 25% in 2011, the rate climbed significantly to reach just under 60% in 2015, making Korea the country with the highest household recycling rate among the three.
