In terms of specifics, China, with a staggering 721 million users, was the clear leader, followed by India, which had nearly half as many users at 462 million. The United States, with 287 million users, was third on the list. Japan and Brazil rounded off the top five, with 115 and 107 million users respectively.
The remaining five nations on the list were all below 100 million users. Russia had 84 million users, followed closely by Nigeria with 78 million. Indonesia and Germany had similar figures, with 53 and 71 million users respectively. Canada, with 32 million users, had the smallest number of Internet users among the top ten countries.
