The bar chart illustrates the progression of telephone subscriptions in Vietnam over the course of 2010.
The graph exhibits a clear upward trend in the number of both landline and mobile phone subscribers throughout the year. Interestingly, while the number of landline subscribers increased, the growth rate of mobile phone subscribers was significantly higher.
In January 2010, the number of landline subscribers was approximately 16 million, and it gradually increased to around 19 million by December. The growth was steady, with a slight surge in the middle of the year, around June and July. Despite this increase, the number of landline subscribers remained significantly lower than that of mobile phone subscribers throughout the year.
On the other hand, the number of mobile phone subscribers started at approximately 98 million in January and experienced a substantial rise to reach about 125 million by the end of the year. This notable increase in mobile phone subscriptions clearly outpaced the growth of landline subscriptions, indicating a preference for mobile phones among the Vietnamese population in 2010.
